New Blues with an Old Soul
Gryffyn’s new CD “No Apologies” is now available. The CD and MP3 versions of the new effort are currently available at CD Baby. For those of you with iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic or other digital download services take heart. The CD and it’s cuts are being sent to ALL of these services at this time and are already available at some. The Gryffyn band is comprised of four talented Seattle musicians who like nothing more than playing great blues and R&B together. The nucleuses of the band, Sean, Mark and Rick, have been playing together for over three decades; bassist, Jim, joined the group in April of 2005. Now the band is on a mission, to share their love of the blues with The Pacific Northwest and beyond.
The band released its first CD of all original material, “Am I Blue” in the spring of 2005 and followed up the effort with their fall fo 2007 release “No Apologies” with great acceptance, not only locally, but internationally as well. “Am I Blue” and “No Apologies” both made the top 25 heavy rotation on Amsterdam’s Blues Ears Radio for the 5 months.
